About the Teen Advisory Board
Strong365 Lab Teen Impact Advisors help guide, ideate, and co-create our existing and future projects focused on improving mental health support and care systems that serve youth. As an Impact Advisor, you will use your voice, experiences, and ideas to help us work toward our mission of addressing the mental health needs of young people today.
Duties & responsibilities
Impact Advisors play a critical role in guiding and implementing projects, messaging, and events central to the Strong365 Lab mission. As an Impact Advisor, you will be asked to share your unique perspectives and insights, as we continue our mission for better access to high quality mental health services. This may include opportunities to provide feedback on Strong365 Lab projects, create new messaging that resonates with you and your peers, share your own story of perseverance in the face of mental health challenges, and more. The Impact Advisor role is remote, with most activities occurring virtually over Slack and Zoom.
As a member of the Teen Advisory Board, you have a unique opportunity to contribute to creating lasting, positive impact on youth mental health. You will collaborate and develop connections with a team of people from a range of backgrounds and geographies who are passionate about mental health and building a more inclusive, equitable world.

FAQs
What is the timeline / commitment for the Teen Advisory Board?
The Strong365 Teen Advisory runs in parallel with the standard academic school year, from fall 2024 through spring 2025. To give students time to acclimate to their school routine at the beginning of the year and to ensure they are not stressed with finals at the end of the year, we will have our first meeting in October 2024 and continue through April 2025. Each Impact Advisor will be expected to sign an Expectation Agreement that highlights the criteria needed to be met by Impact Advisors, including:
Regularly attend bi-monthly meetings (2X per month on Zoom)
Engage and provide feedback on the Strong365 Teen Advisory Board Slack channel on a weekly basis
Contribute 1 testimonial: quote, blog post, video, or written submission (can be anonymous)
Teen Advisory Board membership is not time-limited. Upon invitation, students will have the opportunity to continue virtually with Strong365 through the summer as well as continue as an active Board member in following years if desired.
Is this a paid internship?
The Teen Advisory Board is not a paid role at this time. Rather, we offer the opportunity to develop new skills, learn about mental health, gain exposure to leaders in public health, and make your own impact on the mental health movement.
We are happy to support academic/community service credit as well as recommendations (college or job) for our board members.
What else can I do as an Impact Advisor?
Impact Advisors can elect to develop “Impact Projects”, or an independent project of focus that explore a mental health topic of interest to you. Examples include: develop a social media campaign, create educational resources, survey your community & document your insights.
Interested Impact Advisors can create a proposal for their project of interest. The Strong365 Team can offer a dedicated mentor to support and guide project development over the course of the year. Ultimately, if desired, your project can be shared on Strong365 channels.
Impact Projects are optional, based on your interest and capacity to participate.
Am I required to publicly disclose my personal experiences?
Absolutely not! What you share is entirely up to you. Contributing to Strong365 content is not limited to personal stories – there are lots of ways to support the cause outside of sharing about your personal experiences.
